Assam: Body of 1-year-old found on his first birthday in Gohpur, father missing

In a shocking incident, a dead body of a one-year-old child was recovered on his birthday in the Gohpur district of Assam.

The dead body of the child was found lying in the midst of a paddy field.

The deceased has been identified as Paragjyoti Bordoloi.

Upon receiving the news, the mother rushed to the field and broke down upon seeing the body of her child.
Noteworthy, a cycle along with a shopping bag was also lying near the body. 

According to reports, the father Sachin Bordoloi (father of the dead minor boy) and the child went to the market for shopping on Wednesday evening for his birthday but the duo did not return home till late at night. The father is still said to be missing.

“Stern action should be taken against the culprits who have killed my son. My son did not make any mistakes. My son was too innocent to be killed like this”, said the deceased’s mother.

A cycle and a bag of items were found near the child’s dead body. Further details are awaited.
