Former Assam minister Thaneswar Boro passes away

Former President of Asom Gana Parishad former Assam cabinet minister Thaneswar Boro, passed away at the age of 86, on May 17 at 7:05 am.
The former Assam education minister was hospitalized at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) due to a severe heart condition.
Boro leaves behind his only daughter.
Boro’s political career was marked by his tenure as Education Minister during the AGP government, where he made significant contributions to the state’s educational landscape.
His mortal remains will be transported to Rangia from Guwahati, following which many parties and organizations will pay tribute.
