New twist to pregnant woman’s ‘kidnapping’ in Guwahati
GUWAHATI, Nov 23: In a completely new twist to the alleged kidnapping of a woman from Paltan Bazaar in the heart of Guwahati city, allegedly by two youths who had come on a motorcycle before ‘abducting’ the woman, Police said the woman had gone with the youths on her own will since she was having an affair with one of the youths.
The woman’s husband Md. Abdul Karim of Rava Basti, Madari Hat, Alipurduar in West Bengal, had lodged a complaint with Paltan Bazaar Police that his wife Salina Rava was kidnapped after they deboarded from a train in Guwahati while on their way to Dimapur.
However, during investigation, the woman was found at the rent house of a person named Sanjay Tamang at Hengrabari.
Police said that the woman was in a relationship with Tamang of Dima Hasao for the last three months after they met on Instagram.
She had actually fled with him while her husband had gone back to Guwahati Railway Station to fetch their baggage.
