Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated ace shuttler PV Sindhu for winning the Swiss Open.

Assam chief minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma also on Sunday congratulated ace shuttler PV Sindhu for winning the Swiss Open.
Sarma tweeted, “Congratulations @Pvsindhu1 on winning Swiss Open Super 300 Women’s title. This is yet another glorious moment for Indian badminton and I am so proud of you for this feat. Keep winning & shining.”

Sindhu won her second women’s singles title of the season on Sunday at the Swiss Open Super 300 badminton tournament in Basel, defeating Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan.
Sindhu, a double Olympic medalist, took just 49 minutes to defeat Busanan Ongbamrungphan of Thailand by 21-16, 21-8 to lift her maiden Swiss Open trophy.
