Assam: PM Modi lays foundation stone of several projects at Karbi Anglong

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday laid the foundation stone of Veterinary College (Diphu), Degree College (West Karbi Anglong) and Agricultural College (Kolonga, West Karbi Anglong) at Diphu in Karbi Anglong district of Assam.

PM Modi reached Loringthepi, Karbi Anglong on Thursday around 11 AM and was received by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma , Governor Jagadish Mukhi and BJP state President Bhabesh Kalita.

Taking to Twitter CM Sarma wrote, “Honoured to receive Adarniya PM Shri @narendramodiji at Loringthepi, Karbi Anglong. Hon’ble PM will address the Rally for Peace, Unity & Development and also virtually lay foundation stones for a model college, an agriculture college and a veterinary college.”

 

On reaching Diphu PM Modi addressed a massive crowd at the “Peace, Unity and Development” rally in Karbi Anglong district. 

Addressing the rally PM Modi said that it is the love and affection of the people of Assam which brings him here.

He also said that in the states where there is a double engine government, works are done with the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’

Laying the foundation stones for projects relating to healthcare and education including a Veterinary College in Diphu, Degree College in West Karbi Anglong and Agricultural College in Kolonga PM Modi that these are not just foundation stones of veterinary college, agriculture college and model college in Karbi Anglong and West Karbing Anglong, but they are going to set the future of the youth of this region.

The prime minister also laid the foundation stone for more than 2,950 Amrit Sarovar projects. The state will develop these Amrit Sarovars at a cumulative cost of around Rs 1,150 crore.
