Pro Uddhav Shiv Sainik Sanjay Bhosale arrested in Guwahati

Guwahati: A Shiv Sena worker, Sanjay Bhosale, who is from the pro-Uddhav Thackeray camp has been arrested outside the Shinde camp in Guwahati on Friday morning.

Bhonsale, who is being described as an emissary sent by Uddhav Thackeray, was arrested by the police a short while back.

Bhonsale was standing outside the city hotel where the rebel MLAs are camped and was standing with a placard calling out the rebels to reconcile with Uddhav Thackeray.

Sanjay Bhonsale, who claims to be the Vice-President of Satara district unit of Shiv Sena which is also the home of eknath shine, has come all the way from Maharashtra to Guwahati and was standing outside the rebel camp holding a placard and appealing to the rebel Sena MLAs to return and reconcile with the Uddhav camp.

Bhosale has come with a message to Eknath Shinde to return to Maharashtra and hold talks with Uddhav Thackeray and resolve the issue and not enter into this dirty politics. He further claims that more Shiv Sainiks will be joining him in Guwahati soon.

Meanwhile, The political crisis in Maharashtra continues to grow leaps and bounds. Trouble continues to mount for the Aghadi government as more MLAs join the Eknath Shinde camp in Guwahati.

Last night, three more Shiv Sena MLAs and two more independent MLAs reached Guwahati and joined the Shinde camp in Radisson Blu Hotel.

With this, the strength in the rebel camp has reached a total of 54 MLAs consisting of the MLAs of Shiv Sena and independents.

Currently, the rebel camp in Radisson Blu consists of 45 Shiv Sena MLAs, nine independent MLAs, and a few MLAs from other political parties. Shiv Sena’s pro-Uddhav Thackeray camp is left with just 10 MLAs.

Now the situation is such that the Uddhav Thackeray-led Aghadi government may topple any moment as the strength in the rebel camp has reached a clear majority mark.

Noteworthy here is that the Maharashtra assembly consists of 288 seats, of which 285 are occupied. Any political front needs a strength of 143 to attain the majority mark.

Currently, the BJP’s strength in the Maharashtra assembly is 106. If we take the Maharashtra BJP MLAs along with the MLAs at the rebel camp in Guwahati, then their strength goes up to a total of 167.
