Shocking! Doctor couple’s minor adopted daughter sexually assaulted, medical tests confirm

GUWAHATI, May 7: The minor adopted daughter of the doctor couple, video of her being tied to a pole on the roof of the apartment where the couple lived had opened the Pandora’s Box of troubles for the physician duo, was sexually assaulted, Guwahati Police Commissioner Diganta Barah said after medical tests confirmed the worst fears of cops and others associated with the investigation.

Not only the minor daughter, the boy who, Dr Sangeeta Dutta claimed earlier today is a twin of the girl, could also have been sodomised with preliminary medical tests at the GMCH, where he was brought for a medical examination, indicating at anal intercourse.

“Medico-legal report states that the girl child was sexually assaulted and that there are tell-tale signs that she was tortured. There are several injury and burn marks on her body, including that in her private parts,” Diganta Barah told reporters at Pan Bazar police station this evening.

“We also brought the minor boy to GMCH for tests following possibilities that he, too, could have been ill-treated by his foster parents. We can conclusively comment only once the full results are out but there are strong possibilities that he had also undergone a similar fate,” Barah added. “We can also confirm at this point in time that the two kids are not Dr Sangeeta Dutta and Dr Walliul Islam’s biological children and we are looking into possible violation of rules while adopting them,” he further said.
