Kamrup (Metro) district declares local holiday on November 13 for Diwali

A local holiday has been declared on Monday November 13 within the jurisdiction of Kamrup (Metro) district of Assam on account of Diwali.
A notification issued by the General Administration Department of Assam Govenment on Friday (November 10) stated, “The Governor of Assam is pleased to declare Local holiday on 13th November, 2023 within the jurisdiction Kamrup (Metro) district on account of Diwali festival.”
All state government offices and educational institutions within Kamrup (Metro) district will remain closed on November 13, it said.
It also added that all financial institutions in the Kamrup (Metro) district will also remain closed on account of the local holiday.
